In fact, one would assume that Ticket in the Paradies is one of the truly popular movies this late summer. Additionally, movie features George Clooney and Julia Roberts, two genuine Hollywood heavyweights who have already worked together on multiple projects, including Ocean’s Eleven and Money Monster.
Even a pair can be played. At least almost. Their personalities are initially still adversaries of one another. However, in the end, it won’t be the case in accordance with the rules of romantic comedy. Therefore, everything that has already been demonstrated to work with many successful film sales should also function with this variant. And yet, there isn’t much buzz about the movie. Additionally, he comes off in the reviews as being rather mild-mannered; the responses range from criticism to disinterest.
Even so, the movie has a lot to offer. Of course, Roberts and Clooney steal the show. The daughter’s wedding is the main event. But that frequently gets overlooked in terms of the plot and character development. In fact, Lily and Gede are so uninteresting that you quickly grow bored with them. Two supporting people make the story considerably more interesting. Georgia’s much younger lover Paul (Lucas Bravo) and Lily’s best friend Wren both make relatively shorter cameos. They lack any real distinctions and nuance in their dramatisation. In contrast to the main couple, who must make due with their excellent looks, at least they are constantly entertaining.
