He’s been sitting for not quite a year brilliant dr Ivo Robotnik on the mushroom planet when he finally manages to send out a signal. In doing so, he involuntarily lures in the being Knuckles, the last echidna who recognizes Sonic’s blue spike in Robotnik’s hand and wants to destroy Knuckles. While Robotnik and Knuckles team up, Sonic tries his hand at crime-fighting as a hero on Earth – with limited success. Just as his family of Tom and Maddie are heading to Hawaii for a few days to attend Maddie’s sister Rachel’s wedding to Randall to celebrate, Sonic is attacked at home by Robotnik and Knuckles. Tails comes to his aid, who has been watching Sonic from afar for a long time and wanted to warn him of the impending danger. When they learn what Knuckles is up to, they also realize the danger Earth is in if Dr. Robotnik gets his hands on a source of almost infinite power.
